The Art Show of 2007, April 21-22 was a nice but chilly weekend. In spite of that, many visitors came to see new artists, or visit old favourites. It was 35 places if you wanted to see all of them! An Art Race! Quite impossible, so many choose to visit Bergendal first and make a marking on the Art Map (with addresses to all of the artists), and split their visits over the two days.

Like earlier years we had converted our garage to a gallery - Gallerie Garage - and almost 100 persons came to see my Aquarelles/Water Colour, and Calligraphy. It was very nice that the visitors wanted to see Calligraphy, combined with common painting like I do, and they seemed to like it very much. I got many heart-warming greetings in my guestbook! Both for myself and our unusual gallery, and the whole event!

Welcome to a visit in our, by now, only virtual "Gallerie Garage"! Our Ford is now back in his "home", and we can easy find nails in the metal chest of drawers, hidden under the cloth with a blue pattern from Provence during the exhibition. A scent of fresh rosemary and thyme lingered in the air, and we were happy to be able to offer our visitors coffe caramels and fine 70% chocolate squares from Kahl's Kaffe & Teashop in Sollentuna Centrum, one of our sponsors. Other sponsors were Bergendal kurs & konferens, Sollentuna kommun, Lokaltidningen Mitt-i-Sollentuna, Sollentunahem, Svenska kyrkan i Sollentuna, Samglas, AGE, L & J Screen AB och Sawko salong.

Our "gallery" got two private sponsors, Renprodukter i Norrviken/Sollentuna and Frukt&Grönt, our greengrocer in the marketplace in Sollentuna center. My own little Orange tree, with one orange ripe in time for this event, got other fruits from the Citrus family underneath, together with a lovely pot of Thyme. The Rosemary spread its nice scent in the other end of the room. No dusty garage this weekend!

The water tap was hidden behind a bucket with "false" flowers :-)
The feathers from ostriches are excellent dusters. One of our visitors told us that he used dusters like that for old paintings in his cleaning agency. We agree! Perfect for an old piano.
