Pär the engineer and Margareta the artist

We have shared a daily life through many years now, all its "for better and for worse" in good harmony (symbiosis!) and some of the good things in life we pass on to you, we hope you will have a nice time and find links and tip-offs useful for your purpose!

Margareta´s Cookie Cupboard
The chamber music concert series Amorina Recitals began 1986 in Sollentuna, with five concerts on five Saturday afternoons. The Amorina Concerts kept on going every winter for 16 years! Coffee and buns were served in the intermission, but after a few years Margareta thought it would be nice with a pastry made for the occasion, and made the pastries for 14 years! The audience loved them and much giggling was heard when they saw the small signs written in fine calligraphy with the pastry's name. Appassionata when Beethoven was on the programme. Pastries everywhere in our kitchen and basement every week before a concert! During a series - around 1500 pastries and biscuits!

We designed a home page for the Amorina Concerts too, with a special page for the intermission entertainments. With recipes of course (link here). In Swedish but if you look at them you can find the source of the recipe. Some in English!
We will try to add some family recipes in English later! :-)

Sollentuna´s Flora
Pär and a few other enthusiasts started investigating the wild flora of Sollentuna sometime in the early eighties. We divided the town in close to 300 squares, 500x500 m, and got started. To cut a long story short, 2003 we felt we were done, and now Pär has published the results at Sollentuna's Flora (sorry, Swedish only, but the plant names are both in Swedish and Latin.) You can also look at a map showing how many species were found in each square, and a list of all species found, and in how many of the 269 squares each one was found. Here are a few examples. To see map of where they were found, click the picture, to read more about the species, click the name.
